Bio: I am a veteran who did a full season as a contractor on a type 6 engine crew in 2023. During that season I was able to participate in many type 6 engine operations across the country to support hotshot, helitack and hand crews. Our type 6 engine crew would even be tasked with some hand crew work, to include cutting/digging lines. At the end of 2024 I worked with the Bureau of Indian affairs on a federal handcrew/fuels crew. During that time I was able to participate in many Prescribed/Broadcast burns. I also worked with their monitoring department where we would collect data before and after broadcast burns to provide information to the United States Geological Society.
